These Colourful toiletry bags are made in India by a social enterprise that is dedicated to empowering women in India to help break the cycle of poverty that has a hold on their families and communities. They do this through fair wages, women empowerment, and by giving them space to come together as a community.

What is Kantha?

Kantha (simply means : “patched cloth”) refers to both the tradition of producing these unique, quilted textiles (making something useful and alluring out of discarded and unused items), as well as the craft and stitch itself (a small, straight-running stitch especially in Bengali embroidery).
