For over 30 years, Tribal Textiles has made batik textiles. Today, they are one of the biggest employers in the Luangwa Valley, an area where jobs are scarce.

Using locally sourced hand-spun natural GMO-free cotton, each pillow cover is hand-drawn using a starch resist – a technique that takes years to perfect! – then painted, sun-dried, and baked to create a distinctive crackle texture, making every piece unique.
